Challenge #29 of 31

Today's challenge is to post a new ID picture. I have wanted to do this for months now, but I just never seemed to find the right image.

Challenge #28 of 31

Today I'm working on a 4"X6" envelope mini album for my daughter. But sshhh! it's a surprise! The cover is made from a cereal box. I'm using one of her favorite CTMH paper packs, the Stardust collection. I'll post my progress as I'm only working on this when she's not around, which seems to be late at night while my little angel is sleeping :-) I'll post more details as I go. I hope to give this to her for Valentine's Day!

Challenge #27 of 31

Today I received the goodies I won from Maggie's giveaway. It's an all-out Valentine's mini album kit. It's adorable!!! I can't believe I won!!! So, today I'll be putting away all of these goodies! Making my first ever Valentine's mini will be one of my projects in February. I can't wait to get started!! Thanks Maggie!!!!

Challenge #26 of 31

Earlier this month I posted pics of how I store my recyclables (tp rolls, acetate, plastic baggies, etc.) but there was a change of plans.....the box with my tp rolls was much too big to store, so I decided to run all of my rolls (paper towel & tp rolls) through my cuttlebug to flatten them, making them much easier to store!

Challenge #24 of 31

In preparing my room for day 31 (full tour of my scraproom) I've re-done one of my challenges. I had originally put my rubber stamps in a clear drawer, but had to move things around for better organization. So, I'm happy to display my rubber stamps in an even more visible place, on a shelf right above my work space. I'll definitely use them more often!

Challenge #23 of 31

I've actually LOVED cleaning up my scraproom this month, I've found so many goodies that I didn't know I had. I have a basket where I put all of my albums (from swaps and gifts) and I realized that most of them are incomplete. I haven't put in pictures or completed any journaling. So today's challenge is to complete one that I started filling in last year. Scrapchicky gave it to me for Christmas in 2009! Now I just need to find a place to display my beautiful albums.

Challenge #22 of 31

I tried my hand at stick pins. I wanted to make a few to have handy for some of the albums I'm working on. Since I'm on the stash diet, I used what I had.....it made me realize that I need more beading goodies!! Feb. 1st can't come soon enough!!! LOL

Challenge #21 of 31

Here's a few of my charms. I got into these last summer when I received some happy mail from my friend Ana in CA, she sent me some of her charms, along with some supplies so I could make my own... she inspired me...thanks Ana!!! (Check out Ana's blog at, http://afallas72@blogspot.com,she's very talented!)

Challenge #20 of 31

My challenge for today was to make a couple of birthday cards using some of the recent MOJOMONDAY sketches. I absolutely love their sketches, but I rarely get any further than printing them out, I know, it's sad :-( I had so much fun making them, using sketches is fun and makes card-making easy. I'm going to make these more often.

I'm so excited to announce the winners of my first giveaways!! Thanks to all of my followers and subbies!!!!!

Challenge #18 of 31

Last October my life took a turn for the better. I changed my eating habits and after losing some weight (and keeping it off) I thought I'd keep a weight journal to log my weight loss, including pictures of my progress that will remind me of the hard work I've done to lose the weight. Thanks to my sister, Olga for making the trip with me (we've each lost 2o+lbs! and counting..)and to my family (hubby, kids, parents & siblings) for supporting us all the way! I love you all!!! This is the cover, I'll post a video when it's complete. {Journal is made using CTMH's NOTEBOOK paper pack and misc. embellishments)

Challenge #17 of 31

Today, I'm organizing the piles of sheer lace I have (but didn't remember I had before I started doing this month's challenges! yikes!) Since I already had the mason jars I decided to use them. I like that they fit perfectly on a shelf on my desk. In this way they'll be handy and I'll be sure to use them :-)

Challenge #16 of 31

Today's challenge is to clean up, off and around our computer desk. When we first purchased it I liked that it was small (I figured small space, less possibility of gathering junk piles right?) NOPE! It's amazing to me that we still have the junk piles....they're just stacked nice and high! It drives me crazy so I decided to take action. Check out the before and after photos!

Challenge #15 of 31

I have a lot of unfinished projects that I'd like to complete this month. One of which is to make an address book for all of the addresses of my scrappin sistah's. Up until now, I've resorted to using post-it notes and scrap pieces of paper. I left it rather simple because I might be hauling this with me to the post office on occasion :-)I like having all that information in one place, nice and handy. I'm a happy camper!!

Challenge #14 of 31

This is my first envelope mini. I got the idea from Laura on FollowingThePaperTrail.I made this for my sister a couple of months ago, but didn't get a chance to take pics or do a video before giving it to her. (Thanks Olga, for letting me borrow it again. Upon your request, I've covered the pictures to protect the innocent :-)

Challenge #13 of 31

I've moved my rubber stamps around my craft room so many times, and I finally realized that, first of all, I had too many (purchases I made before I became an acrylic stamp kind of girl) and secondly I hardly used them. So, I decided to de-clutter my stash of rubber stamps and donated those to my daughter's school for their scrapbooking classes. I kept only those that I really, really liked and I wouldn't you know it? I was able to organize them in a drawer with no problems! I like that they're much more visible this way.

Challenge #12 of 31

Today I've decided to organize my greeting cards. I bought a box for them a couple of years ago and it worked fine until I had so many cards that I didn't know what to do with! I've decided to store my Christmas cards seperately in this rubbermaid container, since I have a lot of them and I've organized the rest in the box by occasion. I love it!!

Challenge #11 of 31

Whew! All of these challenges have me going crazy!!! I think it's time for a GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!! (My first ever!) Watch the vid for details!!! Thanks to those who have subbed and followed :-)

Challenge #10 of 31

In an effort to get all of my photos out of boxes and onto layouts, I joined a group on YPP that will help me to get back to my first love in scrapbooking, 12x12 layouts. I need all of the help I can get because I'm soooo behind on my layouts!!Yeah, one down, hundreds to go!!!!

Challenge #9 of 31

This challenge made me REALLY HAPPY. I know it's shortlived because I'm working on a bunch of different projects. I finally cleaned off my desk so I can actually get those projects done. I actually put things away where they belonged instead of just piling things off to the side (much better!). Hopefully I can keep it somewhat clean because, my goal is to do a complete tour of my room on day 31!!!!

Challenge #8 of 31

Ok, so I know that it's almost mid-January, but I've been so busy and have neglected my livingroom and dining room completely. I'm just getting to gather up my Christmas decorations and take down my Christmas tree. I'm glad to have my dining room table back!! This challenge is a little embarassing so I'm glad to check it off my list today!!! Thanks to my kids for their help, I couldn't do it without them!!!!

Challenge #7 of 31

Here are some flowers I've made in the last few months. Some I made at Ruthie's flower workshop, the others I learned to make from watching YT videos. I like how they turned out, not bad for an amateur!

Challenge #5 of 31

I've committed to a Recycle, Reuse Challenge that was issued by JulieWalters74 (check out her YT channel, she's awesome!)so challenge #6 is to NOT BUY ANY SCRAPPIN' SUPPLIES in the month of January!!!! That means I need to dig into my stash of wonderful supplies and use them (instead of hoard them like I've been doing!). It's amazing how my mojo is flowin' using supplies I've had for a while. It's a great challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing all of my finished projects by month's end. I can't wait to share them with you all!!!

Challenge #6 of 31

This has been on my to-do list for at least 6 months! I saw some that Ruthie received in some swaps, and I thought "I've got to make one of those." I went with a Valentine theme on this tag. It measures 4"x7". I used CTMH's "That's Amore" paper collection, a stick pin I made and other miscellaneous embellishments.

Challenge #4 of 31(non-craft related)

Today my challenge was to clean and organize one of my jewelry drawers. It's been in need of some attention for a while. I'm so proud of myself, this took all of 20 minutes. I'll be so happy tomorrow morning when I can find my jewelry faster and easier. Yay!!!!!

Challenge #3 of 31

This one was an easy, but tedious challenge. I had dedicated one whole corner of my craft space to recyclables (acetate, cereal boxes, plastic bags, toilet paper rolls, shoe boxes, cardboard, you name it!)and it was getting way out of control, so I flattened all of my boxes, cut them into manageable pieces and organized them in a box. Also, all of my tp rolls are in one large shoe box (still needing to be flattened) but all together in one place. My acetate is in a rubbermaid container as are my plastic baggies. So much better!!

Challenge #2 of 31

I've been a little anxious to complete this one because I've had it on my to-do list for so long. I'm so glad that it's FINALLY done!! It turned out so much better than I had imagined. I got this shelf at my local thrift store, the small baskets were in trade for other scrapbooking storage (I'm no longer using) and my precious Christmas mini that my Yoli made for me, is just the perfect finishing touch!

31 Day Challenge #1

Hi everyone!! Happy 2011!! I have been inspired to commit to "The 31 days, 31 goals, 31 videos" challenge that was issued by Marion on youtube (apieceofcraft.com). I think it's a great idea and I figure it will help me to complete 31 things I've been meaning to do. So, I've decided that I'm going to post all 31 challenges here along with pictures instead of doing videos. I realize that I'm already 6 days behind, but I don't think it's ever too late to start. Please bare with me as I might have a couple of posts a day until I catch up completely.
Ok, so my challenge #1 was to make good use of this box in my craft room. (You know how I love to recycle!)This sturdy cardboard box measures about 12 1/4 x 12 1/4, so it's perfect for storing my 12x12 size bags of embellishments. I simply glued on some paper on all 4 sides and decorated the front of the box in my favorite color combo- cream, black & red. I love how it turned out! It took me all of 15 minutes to do. Plus, it saved me from spending money on a basket. So, one challenge down, 30 to go!

Christmas mini my daughter made for me

I just had to share this album that my 12 year old daughter made me for Christmas. I'd like to think she's a chip off the old block, but her creativity and style is all her own. I'm a super proud mama!!!!
